Late Sh. Ras Behari was born on 7th July, 1943 in Bhadohi, a small town close to Kashi to a family of farmers. His childhood was shaped by his family’s tradition of holding Ramleela every year during the festival of Vijayadashami.
Since childhood, he developed a deep devotion towards Lord Hanuman and felt Lord’s blessings showering on to himself through life’s thick and thin. Lord Hanuman’s blessings and inspiration led him to study a number of religious books and treatises deeply, and spend his life in a spiritually enlightened
manner.
Lord Hanuman’s blessings also led him to translate a number of these religious treatises into English language while preserving the deepest essence of it - Goswami Tulsidas authored Hanuman Chalisa being one of them that was translated in 2001.
1963 to 1974, after engaging in teaching and research at various colleges, universities, and research institutions, entered the Indian State Bank as an officer, eventually opting for voluntary retirement in 2001. His writing journey continued thereafter.
